I am just stating in case some do not realize that WBA champion Daniel Santos who is fighting Yuri Forman on the Cotto/Pac undercard will not have fought in almost as long as Floyd was retired...... If he wasn't a champion, it wouldn't be too big of a deal so a sitting champion just sitting for that length of time is not excusable. Maybe he had some fights lined up that fell through IDK, but am I to believe there is no one they could find who wanted a shot at a world title?
He could have just fought some can in PR to stay busy if he wanted to. I wonder if he will have ring rust after a long layoff like that......and does anyone know why he was so inactive to a point of semi-retirement?

Santos has been like this for a while. I don't know if it's Don King's problem or his problem. Since fighting Margarito for the first time in 2001, Santos has only fought 9 times. That's only an average of a little more than once a year.
