You don't understand the definition of a tune-up fight. A tune-up is a stay busy fight when a fighter is at the very least a 5-1 favorite and no way will Spence come in as a 5-1 or a -1000 favorite after years inactivity. Consider yourself educated now.

That is true. Maybe he's weighing his options... maybe he's waiting to see if he's still up for his comeback. Maybe he's looking to see how he feels in training... Maybe a combination of all of the above.

Spence only lost to an all time great and future HOF. He will be a heavy favorite against Robotic Tim, specially after his last performance. I say he comes in at least at -500.

He won't be the heavy favorite, guaranteed, especially with the constant inuries, 36 years of age, massive inactivity for years, a higher weight against a true 154 pound fighter, etc. If he had had a tune-up fight first, if he looked good, he would have been the big favorite. But he won't be due to the unknown of where he will be at physically and mentally. And his motivations not knowing if it is just a paycheck or something more. Too many questions around him factor into the odds. Again, a tune-up fight by definition is where the odds show that a win is an absolute because a much bigger fight hangs in the balance and even signed. Not the case here at all.

They are predicting that Spence is expected to come in as a -150, -180 which sounds about right due to a number of factors. Some sites indicate that Tszyu would be the slight favorite. Spence will not be a heavy favorite by any stretch. It is rightfully called a true crossroads fight.

Tim didn’t learn a thing with the new coach. His right side is a good target for the Spence’s left hand.

Much respect to Errol Spence Jr., but I would not favor him in a matchup of this caliber. If he's the favorite I'd definitely take the underdog. He hasn't fought in 3 years for a reason. He's not the same. And fighting now is just a money grab and not a real attempt to try and revive his career.

I believe he suffered too much trauma in that accident. Combine that with the tough bouts he had with Crawford and even Ugas and he should just retire. I suppose him seeing Keith Thurman comeback gives him some motivation.

That's crazy when considering before the cut Tyszu was whooping Fundora in their first fight. That cut and loss really seemed to affect him.

If this fight happens I got Tszyu KOing Spence. Even Ugas who got his arse handed to him by Barrios hurt Spence in their fight. The ref stopped the action/ delayed the action and Ugas with his ridiculously low output and lack of killer instinct didn't even force his advantage on Spence. Barrios beat the crap out of Ugas. Errol Spence has been in decline for a LONG time and Crawford put a life altering beating on him. Why has Spence not even returned to the ring in all these years? Also, Spence hasn't even fought at 154. He's a career 147 guy.

                      Spence should stay retired.

Boxing is a dangerous obsession and an even crueller master.
