Fighting Usyk would be silly and Warren would never let that happen. Itauma has so much potential but he has no experience never fought any world class guy let alone an all time great with all time defensive skills, Ring IQ and one of the best fighters ever when it comes to pacing himself. In 3 fights including the Fraklin fight and also the Balogun fight i saw Itauma breathing hard and that Balogun fight was a 2 round fight.
There is no way on earth that Itauma even survives 12 rounds with Usyk, he will be so nervous spending energy just by being in the big timespot and Usyk will make him work and gas himself and then go to work and give him a bad beating. Itauma is maybe/probably the future and getting a life changing beating from Usyk will not help him. At the end it's boxing worst case scenario you will never fight again. So why going in a fight you have 1 percent winning chance.
Itauma should fight someone like Torrez, Anderson, Vianello, Hunter (dont know where he is) maybe Sanchez or Ajagba and if they really wanna make a step up go with Bakolie, Jalalov or Hrgovic.
If he faces a top 10 guy now then they're rushing him. He's still developing, he needs to work a few things, because his raw power and speed will only get him so far. I wish people would slow down Itauma because he's only 21. Give him 2 more fights with the likes of Nelson Hysa, Vianello, or Jalalov. Once he finishes those guys then he'll 16-0. 23. and at a good stage to start fighting Hrgovic or Dubois.
I know he dominated Franklin but he was fighting with a lot of nervous energy. He was trying too hard to KO him in the first few rounds and he got caught. He needs to slow down, take his time, and learn how to pace himself. If he goes out there swinging for the fences against someone much better than Franklin then he's going be looking up at the ceiling. We don't know how good his chin is either, we haven't seen him face any adversary or anything.
So, he needs to be slowly built up, like a powerful war tank, assemble carefully and make sure there are no *****s in the armor before you put him in a war.
Keep that boy away from the elites for another 2 years. Feed him Pulev, Jared Anderson, Joe Joyce, Bakole, Torrez Jr, and Ajagba. Once he gains valuable experience and shows he's can go the distance then put him up against the top 10 guys like Parker, Dubois, Joshua, and Wardley.
But this is boxing, and money talks, so realistically he might have one more two max fights with a gatekeeper like Joe Joyce or Bakole and then they will throw him in the fire with the big boys.
Everybody ranked top 10 by The Ring should be ready for top 10 opponents. If he is not ready, than tell it like it is, the kid is a prospect, not a contender.
Saying "oh. Itauma is top 10, but je is just not ready" is just silly.

at the rate that Biblical Moses is being moved
the plan is for him to be the top contender by 2027
Just off the headline, pointless to read as ol fish eyes will pick the path of least risk most reward.
Saying top 10 the way the alphabelts dont work together can technically be a top 40.
I expect another non puncher.
Personally i wouldnt mind a local scrap against Adeleye Tkv etc. Stay busy.
Moses isn't the youngest ever heavyweight ever. So he can take time now. But then he wants usyk, so that changes things and puts pressure on Moses to get decent win to qualify for usyk?
maybe Moses wants to be the 2nd youngest heavyweight champ? Get a move on then!
