Congratulations to Sebastian Fundora for making it look effortless against Keith Thurman, something the so-called “all-time great” Manny Pacquiao couldn’t manage. It really puts things into perspective.
Imagine if Pacquiao had stepped in with Fundora instead of Antonio Margarito for that WBC super welterweight belt. Let’s be honest, that title wouldn’t be in his collection. But then again, Pacquiao’s career has always had that convenient pattern of carefully selected opponents, with Bob Arum pulling the strings to pad the résumé across weight classes.
If Fundora and Pacquiao ever fought, it wouldn’t be competitive. Pacquiao would get exposed early and likely knocked out within a couple of rounds.
