Comments Thread For: One More Time? Does Keith Thurman have it in him?
Keith Thurman is a truth-teller, and there?s no hiding that he?s 37 years old and has fought just 15 rounds over the past seven years while beset by some injuries

Maybe, Fundora has been dropped and stopped before but Keef has to catch him early with something like an explosive hook from an awkward angle. If this starts to get into rd 6 and Fundora gets rolling picking up the volume working the body he is the one probably getting a late rd stoppage.
Fundora will take care of him and i hope he does it slow with precision even tho he is not that accurate when he gets going but enough of those shots and elbows will have an effect on a guy who is not going to show anything but his age and his ability he get another pay day and keep a following. Let there be blood, let there be knock downs and let there be an announcement for retierement when the fight is over. No amount of money is worth the beating that gets taken when a fighter is done and try's to keep going back in.....................
Talks a splendid game. But so did Tszyu. Fundora is vulnerable, but boxing is a game where inactivity neutralizes advantages in experience and skill.
-----------------
Tszyu was your typical Aussie export who fell just like the rest of them all. While I do agree that inactivity diminishes your skills as does age, you cannot compare Tszyu to Keef at all.

are u suggesting Keith has a chance? I don't see it - not only the handicaps you mentioned but this is his first serious fight at 154 - he has everything against him - I find him a very likeable character apart from his talking in the 3rd person, but for me , if he wins this would be the biggest upset since maybe Horn beat Pac - not comparing the fighters, just the shock value.
Thurman can definitely win if he can close the distance. The goal for Fundora is to keep him at arms length with his long jab. Seriously, if Thurman can get inside then I wouldn't be surprised if he wins a shoot out. Fundora has the edge in activity, youth, height, however, Thurman has the advantage in power, experience, RING IQ, and I also think Thurman moves better than Fundora. Which is what he's going to have to do if he wants to win this fight.
