    What is Jemell Charlo's excuse?

His bro Jermall was provided mental issues excuse by his fans despite the absence of any independent medical diagnosis.
It didn't even start with Jermall himself, he just ran with it.

So what is the narrative for Jermell this time for his cons/pic/uous absence since his last fight?

After his cash-out fight with Canelo he quietly slipped into an unofficial retirement. He didn't want any part of Crawford who was breathing down his neck and he had already ducked the Tszyu fight which in hindsight he probably could have won. I don't think he wanted anything to do with Fundora or Thurman either seeing how he struggled with Castano. He was never a top tier fighter.

While many fighters gripe about being ducked, lacking dates, or receiving no offers, these twin brothers have a slate of opponents waiting — all they must do is accept. For Jermall there’s Adames, Lara, Caleb, Benavides (previously), Andrade; for Jermell there’s Tzsyu, Fundora, Crawford, and others. They'd rather retire early. Uncle Al must be very disappointed as they're among the top names he's relying on to fill up his cards on Amazon. PBC is incomplete without them.

He made some good money so now he is just hanging out with his family, if he doesn't pull a Broner he might not ever come back.

We will never know how these matchups would have played had they happened for Jermell. But where do you think this kind of ducking behavior stems from?

He made some money, but it's just not enough especially if you have kids to send to school and still have left for your old age. Canelo already made the same amount of money decades ago, yet he's still fighting.

It's the Mayweather effect. Especially with PBC fighters who were all afraid to lose the zero in the loss column. Once he suffered his first loss against a B level opponent he was reluctant to take any more risks until he was able to cash out against Canelo. He didn't want to risk losing that big payday.

According to google he made between $10-20M that should me more than enough for anyone even with a family. Canelo continuing to fight, sure the money is good but he hasn't needed to fight for years and based on interviews I have seen he seems to really care alot of his boxing legacy.
