No one wants to fight Valero???
Now we know why? This Valero is fighting a piece of **** fighter. Humberto Soto would have KTFO of Valero. I don't know why people give Valero so much credit??? Why fight a guy that has bumbs on his resume!Comment

Not sure what options Valero has at the moment, his visa was denied by the US (along with his entire family).Comment

A world title holder doesn't fight for 8 months and then takes a fight with a journeyman from a lower weight division who has lost 2 of his last 3 fights, and you say "at least he is fighting?" If he doesn't want to fight anyone with a pulse he should at least have the decency to vacate his belt. Why he hasn't been stripped is beyond me.Comment

Visa issues and licensing have ****** for Valero.
I am sure he wants big money fights.Comment

Nevertheless I simply don't believe Velazquez was the toughest opponent he could find.
Also, the visa issues have never really been explained properly. It's unheard of for the US to turn down an application for a professional boxer to fight in the States simply because of his political views. If it's true, which is what he's been claiming, then it's truly appalling McCarthyism on the part of the US authorities, and I don't understand why this aspect of the matter hasn't had more publicity and criticism. Why hasn't Arum spoken out about that?Comment
