This is what happens when you have Incompetent matchmaking. CSAC, promoter, and matchmaker should all be sued. This young lady had no business in the ring. Pro Box pays garbage to all fighters and because of that they find opponents who they pay little to nothing. Shame on Andy Foster, who sold out to Zuffa to get a job.
Sounds like she took the fight because she needed the little bit of money, but she clearly had no business in a boxing ring. Minimum medical suspension should be 90 days, not 30. Shame on the state commission. I wonder how much the greedy s-bags at Zuffa paid the commission.
Same matchmaker who let Senisia fight that girl who was KO’d in less than 30seconds. If this girl doesn't make it..her blood is on his hands and he should be banned. CSAC should be ashamed. They used to be the Gold standard.
Someone definitely needs to step up, even with a private contribution. If the post about the purse is correct, that may not even cover the ongoing medical treatment. If you add the recovery period which includes therapy, this really hurts.
P.S. This tragic event is reminder to everyone including myself to think about what we post and the risks fighters take..

Well said. Unfortunately I am surprised those girls even got paid that much - its very common that purses are very low on the bottom reaches of undercards - that's why Zuffa going on about insurance for all fighters is a good thing - though, I'm not sure it'd even be practical because the premiums might be too high. That's where pre-fight medicals and competent matchmaking are needed. Dan Rafael stated that it seemed to him Sio didn't even seem to know how to hold her hands up in a proper boxing stance.
