Why not a fight against Lara to consolidate belts. I thought Adames was with PBC, but this fight against Williams was on DAZN. Did they win a purse bid or is Carlos no longer with PBC? If he's still with PBC, as Lara is to my knowledge, then it's a fight that should be able to get made.

Jesus Ramos is with PBC too and that fight is also overdue. I know we want the unification but I'd be perfectly happy with Adames - Ramos Jr.

They both have the same trainer i think neither of them wants the fight. Honestly Adames is not big and guys like Boots and Ortiz are at least as big as him. I think very soon all the 154 guys will move up and we will have a stacked 160 division.

I thought I remembered reading something about Lara not wanting to fight Adames bc they were close. I thought maybe they were both Cuban, but after realizing Adames is Dominican I thought I must have been thinking about another set of fighters. Them having the same trainer and not wanting to fight because of that makes sense.

Was Ammo a voluntary defense then? If Ramos is mandatory and has been on deck for a while then, yeah, Adames should fight him next.

At this point if unifications can't be made just go the early B-hop MW title route and get busy, rack up defenses.

He's the crafty veteran. His style and skills are what has kept him able to perform at a high level at his age. Dangerous man. Nobody has ever whooped Lara. They've only eked by him, often unjustly.
