]Usyk has done all you could ask from a former Cruiserweight that went up [/B]and dominated the HW division. He fought AJ 2x, Fury 2x, and Dubois 2x to shut any doubters up after their first fight. He really cleaned up his generation of heavyweight and sure, you will always ask for the next best thing to come and wipe out the old man, but a smart fighter will retire while on top. There will always be an Itauma for every Usyk.
Guess what folks? Let's say Itauma becomes the next best heavyweight in the world on a dominant run. 15 years later, he's in Usyk's spot and you have a new Itauma that is young and ready to wipe out the old Itauma whose now a shell of himself. It's the normal rinse and repeat cycle of boxing.
I personally don't even like seeing an older guy that was once great, still try to keep going at it when they're a shell of their best self. It can tarnish their legacy a bit and new viewers will come in and see him as a shell and believe everyone could beat this current version and not understand why he was considered so great. If they're a true fan, they would watch old tape.
you dont get special "im small" points. either fight the best or leave and he aint leaving. hes doing circus fights. hes become like any other boxer: floyd, canelo, etc...
Wtf you're talking about? Usyk is turning 40 in less than a year, and his last 6 fights have been against the absolute best HW contenders available. He could have literally said he's 40 years old and wanted to dance ballet for his last fight, he still wouldn't be ducking nobody.
He has faced and exposed yhe absolute best fraudulent British HW contenders available and now they're trying to line up more with Mo Money Itauma and Fabby Weirdley.
Usyk has earnt the right to call his own shots, even if that means choosing a kick boxer for his next defense. But to put it simply, Itauma and Wardley haven't earnt their shots.

he has not earned the right to duck and do circus fights...heres where someone brings up ali vs a japanese wrestler except ali fought 4 real fights that year. the exhibition was just for promotion. usyk is pretending like this is a real fight. if itauma and wardley havent earned their shots a kickboxer has? makes no sense. i would have no problem with this figth if it was in addition to real fights but its clearly a replacement for a real fight and a money grab. pathetic

He beat what was put in front of him in their own backyards, most twice. Pathetic money grubbing attempts to skew the odds.
Usyk has absolutely earnt the right to fight whoever he likes, whenever he likes, wherever he likes.
He chose Verhoeven. He could choose the mighty Hamburglar at the local McD's after that who has just as much fighting cred as MoSuss and Weirdley and I'd be cool with it.

taking one easy is okay
these would be cherries Daniel again Flabby Fury again
To be fair, everyone at the top is just sitting around and waiting for the perfect fight. There Even Agit is waiting. I give Wardley lots of props for trying to hone his craft. It's a shame that the alphabet boys are letting these guys hold the belts hostage. Guys like Usyk, Fury and Joshua are strictly prize-fighters now who only care about money instead of glory. The younger guys have been waiting for years for a shot, only to get passed by old kickboxers. It's really a shame what the heavyweight division has come to.

The Mighty Oilskin Parker seems to have been the last of the heavies not content to sit back and wait Usyk out when he decided to give Fabby a shot.
Shame he got dīcked by Weirdley, fisheyes and a home cooked ref. Disgusting!

this is why boxing is not a real sport. he chooses not to fight the best anymore because he already did? thats absurd. the super bowl champ chooses to only play crappy teams next year because they won the super bowl...that would be laughed at right? but in boxing hey they won last year they dont have to do play the best anymore!
i already said he could fight paul verhoven as a fun exhibition type fight in between his real figths but hes passing this off as some kind of real fight. his first fight in 10 months is against a kickboxer? if he had 2 real fights every year and this fight then ok cool make some extra money against a bum but thats not what this is. usyk is the one who turned down legit contenders until the perfect fight came up and it was this garbage. he should have stayed active or waited for a good fight but instead he stayed on the sidelines looking for cherries. thats just lame
