His wife seems like the Dragon Queen who determines when and where Nonito fights. I've seen the in interviews and it looks like she's a ventriliquist and he's the dummy.

His wife is pushing to get him seriously injured. After the loss in his fight before this one, she was still pushing the ancient Donair to take more beatings. This was an article "Rachel Donaire, Nonito’s wife, manager, and trainer – filed an immediate appeal with the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO in search of a top ranking and another title shot. This then led to the Masuda beating. Hopefully her crap has ended now after Donaire was brutalized but I bet she pushes him to take even more punishment on top of punishment.
