Sorry, Zuffa is the scum here. If they cared about Jai they wouldn't make him fight for their belt that is meaningless at this point. Maybe one day it'll mean something, but as-is it's not even close to the IBO belt.

Well when you whore yourself out you gotta do things you dont normally want to do.
Been saying for years the boxing isnt a real sport. That its just like the WWE. A bunch of clowns with smoke and mirrors. Chasing nothing but ticket sells via marketing.
Over the last decade that has gotten SO MUCH worse!

We can assume jai is locked into a contract with stipulations that look like old record label deals.
You sold yourself to the devil and he is going to flog every penny out of you.

IF his contract is solid. DW will not allow him to go for the belts as it would open a door to get out of said contract.
Also since the IBF are taking a stand (of course they would since they are probably the most solid org in the business) They probably wouldnt allow Zuffa to be co promoted along with it. I feel the other majors will follow suite as it is in their best interest.

How did they make him fight for the belt?

Having listened to a Buff Guy Jai interview his first priority is not becoming a star [money]

he has some nerdy hobbies too such as Pokemon card collection

Fat Dave on the other hand is shooting for stardom we can see it in how he engages with boxing fans and dresses

It seems they signed him under false pretenses - in my opinion only (assuring him they wouldn't stand in the way of him keeping the IBF belt and going for undisputed). Therefore, their show, their belt their rules. He was already signed, trained for the fight, made weight, and wants/needs the paycheck so what was he going to do, not fight?

It’s the outside causing conflict and I’m the only one who’s suffering
No, you put yourself right in the middle of this. For a lot of money. And knowing full well why they were paying you so much.

Earn as much as you can by all means but the rubbish that Zuffa are putting out through White, the on air broadcast team, and Jai is just insulting to anyone with an IQ in the double figures.
