While Floyd won this fight, he may have come to terms with his own mortality.

He won, but after being knocked down (he was lucky it was not counted a kd), he fought even more intelligently from there after. See the Hatton fight. Pure mastery. Elbowed his way to a win and then KOd the Brit with a fabulous shot.

floyd lost heart after the castillo fight... after that he never wanted to get that close to losing again.

If anything, Floyd was taken aback by how dirty Zab could be.

If he has any apprehension, it's due to his concern for low blows and rabbit punches.

No...I've watched Floyd's entire catalog. He's just encountered naturally bigger guys than him recently.. DLH was naturally bigger, and far more dangerous than DLH was to Pac, for instance. and Hatton was a dangerous fighter back then, but he still got the KO. You'll notice, if you watch, say, the Gatti fight, the announcers were propping up Hatton as the guy to beat. And Cotto just looked leery of Floyd at that fight. lol. Watch the footage. It was only after Floyd beat Hatton that all this naysaying and excuse making came up. As for JMM, Floyd was coming in off a 2 year layoff..there are alot of fighters that CANNOT do that. Once they stop using it they lose it.

But now Floyd is naturally a WW...He's grown into his weight nicely. Floyd will start wowing critics once again..you watch. And it will only take till 7 minutes or so after each of his victories for the naysaying to pour in. That's just how it seems to work with Floyd

well in that case...to an extent...He didnt exactly take his heart but more so made him realize the power these guys have at 147, which ultimately made him tone down his aggression.. thats not exactly taking his heart tho
