On the heels of receiving sanctioning body-issued disciplinary action, Janibek Alimkhanuly was dealt an actual suspension by a presiding commission.

So Janibek suffered a mini stroke and required urgent medical attention. The treatment he received included administering a drug that contains meldonium. Before taking the prescribed medication he failed to check it didn't contain any banned substances and as a result he receives a ban from the WBO which is twice as long as the one Canelo received for popping twice for Clenbuterol and coming up with his unverifiable tainted meat excuse? Janibek is then also suspended for 6 months by the Kazakhstan commission and is now waiting to see what punishment the IBF will hand out. Additionally, he has to fund his own testing to prove he's clean before he can fight again.
So, in a medical emergency, a fighter is now expected to check the ingredients of any medication prescribed to him/her before taking it? Seems harsh...
The worst part of all this is the title situation at middleweight is about to become a mess again and will take some further time to fix itself just as it was finally about to.
You're wrong, it was a reason, they intend doesn't clear the drug.
If he had some banned substance in his system used due a medical emergency as far as I am concerned he is in the clear and 160lb division has been stalled for no legitimate reason.
So will they remove him temporarily from Undisputed like they did Ryan Garcia when he got caught? lol. Crazy when even a game decides they should abide by real life rulings on a fighter. Like, nobody cares about that stuff in a game. They want to pick whoever and already paid for the title, they should get all rights to it. That's what sucks about gaming these days and everything being streamed and downloaded. No more physical copies. You're at the mercy of what the developer/service decides to do with the title. You're simply paying for a license to play it, but don't truly own anything.
Not saying I 100% believe it, but this seems like the most clear and reasonable explanation for a positive PED test in memory.
good post - my thoughts too - it seems 90% believable - obviously you're not checking the medicine they're giving you when you're ill in hospital. The only issue would be if he really was in hospital - but that's a cynical take.
