The fact Floyd is having to come back because he’s broke is absolutely tragic.

It’s fooking sad.
We used to clown Adrien Broner for flushing hundred dollar bills down the toilet. But this is so much worse. Floyd is a near 50-year-old man who still can’t stop himself from pissing all that money away.
It doesn’t help that he surrounds himself with yes men and leeches like Jonah Rechnitz.Comment

2) Wealthy people don't stop earning just because they have wealth.
3) There's no proof May is in financial ruin. Just wishful thinking.
4) Why should May, or any athlete, not continue doing what they have done all their lives ?
5) Nope. Won't be watching but it will make money. Setting up a May vs Pac rematch that no one wanted.Comment

Money is made to be spent, yes. But when you made that much there is no way you should be running low, ever. Your kids and their kids should never even run low. Unless you’re a complete moron with handling it.

The Business Insider article is pretty damning. There’s the Showtime lawsuit. And the fact that he is returning to boxing at age 49. You can put all those pieces together and get an overall picture of his finances I think.
I don’t begrudge him wanting to pick boxing back up at age 49, if that’s truly what he wants. It’s dumb to do this sport at that age but if that’s what he wants then more power to him. But if he’s doing it because he has to pay the bills? What a tragic ending to what was a legendary career.
Gotta buy all those gold chains and Maybachs, doe. Smart investments, doe.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 02-22-2026, 07:33 PM.Comment
