Dirrell has the style to beat AA

    Plan is simple.

Watch the diaz vs Pac fight. That is how Dirrell should fight AA to win.

Fast combinations, 2-3 punch combos then move to the side or step back for his fave counter left hook.

Dirrell should stay on the southpaw stance as AA is a sucker for the left straight down the middle due to the openings of his high guard.

This is to me Dirrell's best chance to win. He wont win again using running tactics like he did against Froch.

The one big ingredient to this strategy is that it entails guts and forces Dirrell to fight and take risks. Something which he seems to not want.

He must be reminded that at the ELITE LEVEL. One cannot minimize risk without jeopardizing victory.

Yea that was Taylor's plan before the fight untill he fellt Abraham's right and then he forgot the plan 100%.

By the way; Froch isn't Abraham.

Yes, obviously he does and he had the style to beat Froch too.

The problems I see once again is the scoring, as I'm sure this fight will be in Germany.

Also, Abraham holds his guard high for long stretches of time, I wonder if dirrell will get suckered into unloading combinations which could leave him open for a big counter.

I would put money on this fight if it were in the US or a neutral location, however all bets are off if it's Germany (nothing against Germany just saying in tough/close fights the hometown boy will get the decision).

        Different fighters, different styles.

Dirrell is a southpaw, Taylor is orthodox.

The lack of openings from Taylor's orthodox stance will be the very openings a southpaw like Dirrell can exploit.

Im not saying Dirrell auto wins this one.

AA is a monster, a very good high guard, underrated speed and quickness but Dirrell has the style to beat AA.

All Dirrell needs is a lot of guts and will.

Running wont win you championships at the elite level.

No, AA vs Dirrell will be in the US and this is one of the reasons why I am picking Dirrell to win.

Yea well i saw him against Froch & i knew Dirrell was good but i didn't know that he was THAT good!

            He impressed me really; but i still think if a guy like Jermain Taylor couldn't beat him then Dirrell won't beat him;

Maybe i'm wrong but i still have the feeling that there is only 1 guy in the tournament who could beat AA; and that is Kessler; he has the combinations; the speed & the power to beat AA.

              Kessler is already a given.

Notice I didnt bring him up.

Kessler is prolly the worst matchup for AA as the most effective way to beat AA is pile up points early rounds and to attack using combination punching and volume.

Kessler can easily punch 60-70 per round and that activity coupled with the style might force AA to open up more.

If Dirrell fights the way he fought Froch he will lose again and would have wasted his talent.

Are you 100% sure on that? I read an article quoting one of the promoters saying it will be held "wherever the money is at" and that place would undoubtedly be Germany.

When Abraham punches he leaves himself VERY open!

No one used that before so i think the guys who will face him next should use that!

I think Kessler knows that very well; can't wait for that fight!

Anyway good luck to Dirrell cause i'm not a AA fan at all!
