Fighters Facing each other at Nearly Same Age. Can We keep up the Momentum?

I don't know about you guys, but it's been nice to see two weekends ago Shakur and Teofimo at nearly the same age face each other. Both in their primes. No excuses, just pure best they can be going at it. Next up, Nick Ball vs Brandon Figueroa. Again, both in their primes, same age. This is what boxing needs to keep up with. I've been sick of hearing a fighter facing another fighter whose just name recognition but the age gap is so far that you can't help but think it's a showcase for the younger guy.

Some of the most exciting and explosive matchups have been when two guys are around or at the same age, preferably in their prime years where their engines are kicking on all cylinders and there are no excuses at the end.

There are way too many egos, people fighting over money, competing promotional companies, and a slew of TV deals for anything to be consistent. Tank, Ryan gave boxing a jolt by kind of setting a precedent of young, elite fighters signing the contract but that doesn't necessarily mean it will translate to a Ortiz and Boots fight.
