Why didn't Shakur do anything about those body shots for 6 rounds?

You knew the fix was in when the commentary did what they always do and collect their paychecks kissing a s s to the in-house fighter.

It's obvious. Everyone wants the next Floyd. Too bad Floyd would've never let someone repeatedly catch him with the same combination over and over and over again.
I was convinced SS wouldn't get a pre-filled card in the sense that both guys are local NY/NJ and that he'd have to do more than usual. And he did that early on, .

SS fought like he knew he had to really win rounds early on and he definitely got most of those, but he slowed up and never reached back up to the level from earlier. Teo got somewhat better as it went. Maybe SS adjusted again late, and he did pick-off Teo here and there throughout, Teo had the blood on his face, but the shots Teo was landing are considered power shots to me even if it;s to the body. .

I hate doing the back-and-forth after fights but just so you're not out there on an island, I gave Teo like 4 of the last 7 rounds. And round 3. Not saying SS lost just the wide scores seem off when those are power shots Teo was landing, in succession.

        Exactly.

When you see the names DeLuca, Weisfeld, and Cheatham on the panel, you have to expect that. The commentary didn't have anything positive to say about Teo or the all the power shots that Shakur stopped countering for stretches were having on Shakur's punch output. It was a pro-Shkaur crowd.

I just hope Teo got paid very well to bring his new child into the world with something great to fall back on.

I think Shakur's a helluva fighter, I even met him along with Crawford in Vegas at Ward-Kovalev 2. Real nice kid, but this should've been either a draw or a lot closer on the scorecards.

Teo should be proud of his performance regardless of the official outcome. And cong**** on the new baby, hope he/she comes out healthy and swinging

I'll rewatch the second half later but from memory Teo only took ONE CLEAR round

Floyd was a lot more entertaining to watch, shakur will never be PPV unless he is on a stacked card; he should never fight in the main event, .

Side note: Will we go back to talks of, "It's time to replace Teofimo Sr as the lead trainer?". It's time. He's not good enough to prepare Teofimo for the very best at the elite level.
No matter who the trainer is. They will not beat Shakur because he never engages. Eddie Reynoso couldn't beat him with Valdez.

He showed tonight that he's just an excellent defensive fighter with great counter-punching abilities. No Floyd or Crawford or Ward adjustments made. All Shakur had to do was keep his elbows in and drop from the high guard to protect his body. Like Jaron Ennis getting hit with the same right hand all night. These young guys are just really good at what they know.
