Finally Davis fights someone his own size - and it was very impressive. He was not boxing, he was throwing with mean intentions from the get go. I must say, he has progressed a lot more than Andy Cruz.

As we’ve also seen with Shakur compared to Robeisy Ramirez. The former Cuban amateur stars seem to have a tougher time transitioning to the pros.

Yeah, Davis looked stronger at this weight for sure. Still had the Gumby-like frame even as he moves up, still really pliable; can easily can be WW.

I guess Ortiz thought he found some kind of rhythm or pace to fight Davis after being outclassed early - it did look like he was creating some openings in the 4-7th, but he could never do anything effective with it. He was doing a lot of other stuff other than landing.

Davis fights can be disjointed and sometmesi tough to see clean action he's doing, but tonight seemed like he was punching harder, cleaner - definitely agree with others who've been saying that.

It may not sound like much, but Davis has 7 more pro fights than Cruz. Their base styles are also different, and Davis had a pro-friendly style to begin with.

Davis-Stevenson isn't happening because they are friends apparently? I would win a title at 140 and move up to campaign WW.....challenge Haney

In a perfect world, you set aside your friendship and make the big money
