A Super Six at 154 lbs would be so perfect right now.

    Get on it, Turki.

Pretty much what I was gonna say. Baraou isn’t a world beater, obviously, but he’s no slouch. Solid opponent. Saw him fight live in Orlando. This was a nice win for Zayas. I considered this a little test. And, frankly, I wouldn’t have been surprised if Abass had won.

Haters gonna hate. Zayas went in there and offered his fans an entertaining win. I remember many folks here thinking Baraou had a good chance of beating Zayas. Baraou is tough as nails, if a bit predictable, and Zayas won at least eight rounds. One thing that was interesting to see was how Zayas was able to absorb Baraou's right-hands. I was actually surprised that Zayas sometimes decided to stay in the pocket with him. I think he has proven to have a good chin and a strong will. Even when Baraou was bringing in some heat, Zayas kept his composure. Dude is 23 years old. Where were Ennis and Ortiz at that age in their career?

And no, I don't think Zayas would beat Ennis, but I think he is more than live against everyone else at 154. Kelly-Zayas may be next tho, that one could be a snoozer.

Team Ennis should do whatever they can to get Zayas next. That's two belts against an opponent who still hasn't entered his prime yet. Zayas is also a bigger match-up than Kelly. Ennis/Zayas at MSG on PR Day Parade weekend will sell.

If possible, Matchroom should sacrifice Kelly to Ortiz. Kelly barely took the strap off of an inactive Murtazaliev + having a home advantage, so I don't expect him to hold that belt for too long.

Zayas has always gotten a ton of hate on the forum.

What is wrong with a young boxer winning a tougher than expected fight?

Only thing that makes you think is the scorecards given 2 judges saw it so drastically different than the 3rd with the fight being in PR.

Everything doesn’t need to be hate.

Good for Zayas, I just want the people that give zero credit to Boots being unified at 147 to keep the same energy for this unification.
