the example you have of the Froch vs Dirrell throw down is a good one. That throw down was far more intentional than the one involving Cotto and Clottey. I am very surprised the ref did not take a point from Froch and early too. I am definitely a fan of rough tactics but when a guy does that, when a guy in a clinch with his opponents head already turned is deliberately punching the back of his head multiple times. There were some instances of Dirrell creating those rabbit punches when he was ducking down but many many instances of Froch deliberately throwing them. Rules are in place to protect fighters, points should have been taken.
By the way I would have said the same thing had Dirrell done that. Ive seen quitea few examples on here of nationalism trumping objectivity on this situation and that is pathetic.
