Garcia is the A side and for as long as he fights, he will always be the A side EVEN against Tank, he was the A side.

Canelo and Ryan can lost their next 5 fights but they will still get title shots.
Devin absolutely picked Kambosos, and rightfully so. The opportunity presented itself, George was the lineal 135 lb champion and Devin was a lock to beat him... all day...twice on Sunday. Fighting George Kambosos was like Floyd going after Carlos Baldomir. Both accidental champions, chickens waiting to be plucked.

Canelo and Garcia bring a lot of money and they take every advantage that comes with it. The real problem IMO are the sanctioning bodies that consistently make decisions based upon the size of the purse and how much they'll make from it.

I guess what I meant was Haney had no other play. Kambosos held the belts and more important, he was the cash cow.
If Kambosos was to move to 147 and wanted a trilogy with Haney, thee is no question Haney would not agree to it. The payday would be three times more than him fighting Rolly or Barrios or the accidental champion from the UK.
Haney would also offer Ryan a shot if Ryan wanted a rematch not just because he wants to avenge what happened but money money money. Ryan brings lots of it.

To be clear, I’m not disagreeing with you, just adding layers to it.

I agree 100%. Bill Haney said they don't want the fight but I don't believe that for a second. If Ryan wins his next fight he'll have the WBC belt and bring even more money.

And this is what it's really about. Barrios being one of the weakest links concerning the champions. It allows Ryan an easy path towards a belt and then he can command more money and opportunities. Namely, the Haney rematch will resurface since Turki and team put all that promo into the fight, only for it to fizzle away due to Ryan's upset loss vs Rolly. I'm sure Turki is still demanding that ROI.

What's crazy is how Ryan takes an L and then immediately is given this fight. What sport world does that normally happen? Two teams playing off in the semi finals. The team that loses advances to the Final. Right...
