Valdez is 35 and has a lot of mileage. This said, he does come to fight every time, and he's willing to take on anybody. As such, he retains good entertainment value. Considering super light isn't that deep, maybe... just maybe. But still i doubt it very much.

To much mileage in my opinion. Hope he saved his money and that there's someone around to save him from himself (a true warrior) and more importantly from the promotors looking for names to keep themselves from going out of business.
If things get bad, he'll be ready to trade the millions for health he once had like everyone else on this planet, but I really hope he never reaches that point. Enjoy your life, there's more to it than boxing.

Very true. Hard to say if he saved enough... And yes, there is the money but also the bright lights. It's harder for some to leave the stage. He's been in wars, and it will catch up on him, specially if he stretches his career. Hope not, but bit worrisome indeed.
I also believe he's mostly done and might make one more attempt at a massive paycheck against someone he won't beat just to call it the quits. He has had his ups and downs though ironically, my favorite win of his was against Berchelt and I hate that after that win he tested positive which puts that entire win in question.
I know people be talking that life isn't only about boxing and he should just move on with his money, though for some of these guys, you have to think. They've been training since they were a child. Literally around 5-6 years old. It's all they ever knew in life. If they didn't take school serious enough or went the route to get further educated, there is really nothing big waiting for them after boxing. Some get fortunate enough to score a commentary or reporting type gig, but you can't depend on that. Not everyone is made to be an analyst even in a sport that they've only known all their life.
respect for Oscar. Been a good servant to boxing been in some really hard tough fights over his career and achieved a lot aswell. But at 35 and the divisions at 130-135 getting more and more stacked I can’t see him regaining any titles. I think at this point he’s just gonna be a name for these up coming contenders to face but I think even now he’ll still be a good fight for them. Tbh wouldn’t mind seeing him face somebody like Gary Russell jr now he’s at 130lbs both are at a cross roads in there career and basically winner stays on
