Callum Smith and his team need to deal with this situation with David Morrell Junior very quickly. As I believe this saga in his career, could be negatively affecting all the momentum he has built back in his career after achieving a solid win vs Joshua Buatsi.

Note: I think it is also very important that Smith holds onto the Interim WBO title, regardless of what certain people within the boxing community think. If Callum Smith has that title, then he will have an asset that will be a target of many contenders in the 175 pound divisions. And because of this? Opportunities will be offered to him that could potentially lead to a World title fight if he continues to win.

To conclude: I think the 175 divisions is a competitive divisions right now, because? I think the premier Champions and fighters in my opinion are all beatable for different reasons. I think the distance in ability between Dmitry Bivol, Artur Beterbiev, David Benavidez and the rest of the chasing pack has closed up considerably during the past few months.

And this is due to Dmitry Bivol being inactive due to injuries, which creates speculation on his current form 'and Artur Beterbiev also in a similar situation, at this stage of his career'.

I think there is a high likely-hood that Callum Smith could fight his way back towards a World title fight, I don't think this is totally inconceivable 'But whether he wins or loses, I think may be determined by the timing of his fights and which fighter he competes against. Stylistically fights vs David Benavidez or Dmitry Bivol may actually be his best chance to win a World Title at 175 pounds' etc.

This is farcical. Smith should be stripped and a final eliminator ordered between Morrell and the next available contender.

He wasted a whole year. Got a good win vs Buatsi and then did nothing to make use of it. I think he waited around thinking he might get a title shot or that Bivol might vacate more belts like the wbo

I can't see how anyone come to such an conclusion Benavidez is stylewise his worst match up he will be battered unable to keep up with the pace and handspeed will shell up on the ropes like he always does and will be punished into a brutal TKO he will last longer than Yarde but receive far more damage as well and he will not go the distance. He is not smart like Gvodzyk and not talented like Morrell both of these guys know how to stay in a fight but Smith will not last 12 rounds

David Morrell Junior has won nothing much in the professional ranks; Callum Smith is a former WBA and Lineal Ring Magazine Super Middle Weight Champion. I don't really think you should be speaking of Morrell Junior, like he is on the level of Smith. Callum Smith once upon a time, was a World level fighter. David Morrell Junior still really has not proven himself to be a genuine World level fighter.

Note: I think at 175 pounds, Callum Smith hits with more power than David Benavidez, and technically he is also a better body puncher 'Smith has only been beaten by the absolutely best in the sport. Which is Canelo Alvarez and Artur Beterbiev'.

To conclude: By no means, I am stating that Callum Smith would be a favourite vs David Benavidez or Dmitry Bivol 'I just think that if he is ever to fight for another World title, then those are his two best fights and chances at 175 pounds'.

If Callum Smith has one attribute which could aid his quest to become a World Champion, it is his punching power. Outside of Artur Beterbiev, I think Smith is potentially ranked in the top-3 biggest power punchers at 175 pounds.

And as I have stated before? The talent and ability gap to the premier Champions in the divisions, has decreased dramatically over the course of the past few months. One year ago? Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev, where like the boxing versions of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. They where miles ahead of their closest rivals in terms of pure ability, that in my opinion is not the case anymore in the divisions'.

Callum Smith has the ability at the very least to fight his way back towards a World title 'but winning a World title, is going to rely on the timing of the fight and the styles involved' etc.
