He is not training in a big ring to run lol , he is training to cut of and catch somebody in a big ring ,, its common to train in a big ring when facing fast fleet footed fighters and a small ring when preparing to fight pressure fighters , Freddie is feeding the public bull****

I can create a scenerio where either fighter can win big . Both fighters have unknowns which won't be resolved until fight night and that's why we'll all be watching!. If Cotto had beaten magarito he would have been the odds on favorite in this fight. Now did he really lose because of cheating we just don't know. Has manny yet beaten a tough in his prime real welterweight, not yet. Because of the unknowns this fight is interesting and the ONLY reason Manny is favored is because his last couple of fights against so-so WELTERWEIGHT competition has made it so. Manny is a great little fighter we'll see how he does against a tough strong welterweight and we'll see if Cotto is really washed up or if he brings his A game. Rememeber is wasn't to long ago when everyone was talking about Cotto's destructive punching ability, what happens when Manny gets hit don't forget he has been pummelled and beaten in the past also and against smaller lesser punchers.

Tough sell....

I see Cotto having two ways to approach this fight.

#1 - Cotto can take advantage of being the bigger stronger man and pressure Manny. This could be smart but speed is what makes Manny so dangerous. He can really move in and out of distance and connect with big shots to counter that strategy.

#2 - Cotto can try and emulate what Marquez did to Manny by being a counter puncher first. Problem with this one is, cotto isn't the skilled boxer JMM is IMO. It will take some very, very good boxing from Cotto to be able to do this. To play they outside game with Manny is very dangerous because it then gives him confidence and allows him more freedom to do what he does.

Other than JMM and Mayweather, I don't see any other fighter in that weight class being able to employ strategy #2.

It's a tough fight for Cotto because he will eventually have to take some chances against Manny.

Morales beat him by fighting outside and using his reach. Essentially becoming a counter puncher like JMM. can Cotto do this? IDK, we will see.
