Comments Thread For: Frank Sanchez-Richard Torrez Jnr purse bid rescheduled for January 22

If the fight is going to end up on the undercard of Mario Barrios vs. Ryan Garcia, then that decision will need to be made before the January 22 purse bid.

Easy win for Sanchez if he is healthy and his legs hold up. Torrez squares up and is so wide with his punches it's like he wants to embrace the whole world!... Thus, very open to a great counter shot which will make him a serious contender for a future Knock out of the year. Just on the wrong side of it.

      You'd think so......

But Sanchez is a typical cuban heavyweight, 30lbs overweight which his legs struggle to carry, 10 years older than his passport states and glassy around the chin.

Torrez will no doubt run afoul with his style but he may be able to blast sanchez out before that happens.

What’s with the hold up here . So far Hrgoviv . Itauma. Ajagba. Dubois have ran away from Sanchez . You would think Sanchez would gobble this one up it’s an overdue payday . Torrez jr got Sanchez rattled here .

Might not be Sanchez that's holding a deal up.

I get what you're saying, but i disagree as too his chin and weight. Sanchez only loss was to the up and coming Kayabel who is highly rated by boxing aficionados, and it was a KO from body shots. Also, he was in great shape physically, except for his knee. He usually has great movement for a man his size, very mobile heavyweight with great footwork.

I don't think Torrez Jr. aka Luigi really wants this fight. He smells a lot like Jared Anderson.
