A shell-shocked Subriel Matias admitted he never thought he would be knocked out, having been stopped in round six by Dalton Smith.?

Since the beginning of the fight Matias was taking flush right hands, they did not even prepare for that being Dalton's biggest weapon. He has lost a step since Paro and now that nut is cracked. If he continues to fight that chin won't bail him out anymore.

      Bad stoppage. Blimey.

Smith might have killed him there. 100% a stretcher job if that goes on.

With the way Matias fights his chin/punch resistance was always on borrowed time. At 33 his stamina ain't the same and none his chin is officially gone. Time to hang it up, fun ride tho. Hopefully we now see Dalton against the best, really interested to see how he preform against Teo for example

This guy was in no condition to continue. Congratulations for getting back on your feet. He must still be concussed if he thinks he could have resumed fighting

Insane to get to his feet really.

Smith would have knocked a lot of fighters clean out with 4 of the last 6 punches he threw and landed....hard.

Insane chin really. But I am certain he was leaving on a stretcher if the referee waved Smith on. No way in hell he's not laid out cold then. Absolutely zero.

I believe the November discussions on PED forced a change in training camp.

I am sure Matias walked into boxing ring mentally handicap and physically very different.

The way Rollie Romero handled lifeless Ryan Garcia, after Garcia PED test.

I knew Matias was already over the hill when he'd eat a clean shot from Dalton and just stand there with no reaction. Granted, in rds 3-4, Matias looked like he was coming on, but he did eat some bombs in the process.

The crazy part was the finale. He literally took like 3 right hands in a row without putting up his hands once. It felt like I was watching Mayorga in there. I was like, wtf are you doing? If he added 1 more dimension to his game. That being, keeping his hands up more, he might of actually won. His whole game plan is just eating punches from his opponent and then bearing his will on them until they feel defeated. The problem is when he can no longer eat the punches. That happened finally.

Oh and f**k him for taking selfies walking out. You don't do that prior to victory. I told a buddy I watched the fight with that he just jinxed himself and lost for that. Waaaay over confident.

I just will never understand these guys like matias who have avg power but refuse to get out the way of a punch. It just makes me wonder wtf are you working on in training camp. Just with a little defense,he probably knocks dalton out lol.
