Naseem Hamed has said that if he could see his former trainer Brendan Ingle again, he would have apologized.

A lot of these fighters have verbal agreement before they are stars. Then if the fighters make it big have disputes. To me from the fighters view it is understanable you make millions, you are the one risking your life, the cut should be changed and agreed again. Many boxers have had this issue. Brendan took 25%, that is a lot. If I start making millions then yeah why would you give 25% to just the coach when it's you risking your life doesn't matter if theu have been your coach long term they're still getting more money than they've ever made for you risking your life. Getting 1k from 4k is differet then getting 2.5m from 10m. Same split but the money is a huge difference.

Look at Spence and James. Long term partnership, and that agreement wasn't even 25%, it was 10% yet it still ended up in issues where James said he wasn't even paid 10% of total income, just the guaranteed income (so minus ppv cut).

Naz was in the right. Go speak to every world champion rn who has made it to the level where their purses are in the millions, I don't know for a fact, but I'm pretty certain not a single one is paying their coach 25%

yeah 25% sounds greedy on trainers behalf

trainer was not smart, he cut off his naz funding completely instead of it continuing but at a lower % but still a rising fee as nazs fees increased

promoter gets a nice slice as well so im sure naz was looking at the cash going out and thinking hold on a sec this is not adding up so well now

trainer should have agreed the 10 - 15% range and been happy with it
