Makes sense as a return fight. Still a bit puzzled as to why Beterbiev didn't go ahead with the Nicholson fight, what's he going to do next?

Wow i can't believe what Bivol is doing. Beterbiev gave him a straight rematch even after a knee sugery right before the first fight. He did not waited around or anything he was a men of his word. Bivol gave Beterbiev his word that he will give him a trilogy fight after the second fight.

This mandatory crap is just talk remember Benavidez was his mandatory and he chose to give up the title and said he will fight Beterbiev next. Then he decided to take a sugery for an injury he already had from way before and out of the sudden he wants to fight this mandatory who by the way never fought any top 15 opponent.

All of this while Beterbiev is getting older and older. Bivols team decided to age out Beterbiev long before the first fight but this is just emberassing. I don't believe that Bivol himself is happy about these disgraceful behaviours.

Beterbievs trainer said Bivols team just stopped all comunication from one day to the other and it was months later when the news came he undergoes sugery but they never communicated it to the team they just stopped any communication while being in the middle of negotation.

I like Bivol as a fighter but damn it just fight Beterbiev let this Eifert guy fight for the vacant title and collect it later if it matters so much but again when it came to Benavidez the fight with Beterbiev matter more to him then the belt.

          no reason was given

Nicholson thinks it was due to injury

I wonder what Artur next move will be

He has been a one year guy for the last several years and last fought in February 2025

too much time out of the ring isn't good but can his body take 2 a year

waiting on Bivol would be foolish

missed opportunity no Fat Dave v Buff Guy Artur because Bivol team was unprofessional

Artur would have had the chance to take a belt back

Bivol-Eifert the world already knows that Russians are great at beating up euroid germans

After the German Bivol has to fight Buff Guy Artur or Fat Dave next whoever is better in later 2026

I didn't exactly wanted to see the trilogy myself. I thought Bivol's performance again Beterbiev in the second fight was pretty comprehensive and I left thinking Beterbiev can't beat him at his age anymore. I'm sure Beterbiev can beat a lot of the top contenders, but he would lose to Bivol and Benavidez due to him slowing down, and as he ages his power is gradually reduced.

Good thing David Benavidez didn’t sit around waiting for Bivol-Beterbiev III. Looks like that won’t happen until the end of the year if at all.

Yeah.... While Bivol actually edged the second fight, I'm quite positive he suffered the most pain as in the first fight ... Can't blame him to not want to go through that suffering again... Artur doesn't need the volume anymore ... He can wait it out... My guess is he has 2-3 fights left in him at the most...

Buff Guy Artur will be 41 soon later this month

He’s Mooslem doesn’t drink nor pork and went pro late

this year and maybe 2027 when he's 42

The other Mooslem man Badou seems done with boxing at 42
