    I haven't even begun to rate yet...still going methodically through each guy...at 14 defenses and a short lineal reign, he'll rate somewhere.

        LOL...no active fighters in a division allowed. Not that he'd make it yet anyways. He's going to have to beat some more, um, welters.

                That list is wack. Castillo belongs in the top 25, but he doesn't belong over Mosley. Shane should have fought Stevie Johnston though. That is one thing you have to give Castillo credit for along with his victories over a prime Lazcano and his win over Casamayor.

                    Just thought I'd bump this thread, because it's my favorite division in all of boxing.

                    CRold1... Is the race between Duran and Leonard that close? I've seriously never met anyone (credible) who didn't have Duran as number one, so I'm a bit shocked to see you saying they are almost 1a and 1b.

                      Someone please tell me the great lightweights duran beat to be number 1 on this list. Some of the fighters on this list fought great fighters numerous times. He also lost to every great fighter he fought discounting the best fighter ever nonsense . Leonard, Hagler, Benitez, and Hearns all beat him.
