Manny showed to be very fast, doesn't let up and no doubt a warrior but when I saw Cotto's fights, it was a whole different level of fighting.

Cotto has been in wars with true hard hitting tough welter weight champions. The degree of power shown in those exchanges in Cotto's fights is bar none nothing Pacquiao has even experienced. Cotto will get tagged by Manny, there's no question about that but Cotto is a fighter that is willing to take to or three shots in order for him to land one of his power flush punch. If Quintana, Judah, Corley, Alfonso Gomez among others fighters weren't able to take Cotto's body punches; what makes us think that Manny will be able to take them.

Let's be honest here. Manny has manny physical gifts but he is still human. Even Paulie Malignaggi said that Cotto hits very hard and it will be extremely difficult for Manny to be able to withstand the punishment. All I know is that people are way too blinded by Pacquiao's last three fights and they are seriously underestimating Cotto.

It's going to be a rude wakening for all of you Pacquiao fans. I know you love the guy and all but this little dude is getting Knocked out. Am sorry. I know your hating me right now and think that I am a Cotto nuthugger or something but this is the truth. Keep it real...
    I agree with you.

I understand why people are so high on the Pacman. He is a fantastic fighter and gives his all. What I'm having dificulty understanding is how the same people that appreciate Pacman's skill are so willing to ignore Cotto's. My only anwer is that they are a fan of the man rather than the sport.

With regards to the gizillion report that we get of Manny's sparring adventures... I don't recall ever hearing so much about sparring partners and how great a figher is doing... hell that's part of the reason why they are there... to gain physical and phsycological confidence. But to say that he looks good against a new commer and then strecth the logic and say that "therefore" he will KO cotto in one round.... well I want some of that Koolaid.

I see a Cotto win... not becuase I think that he is "superior" to Manny or the "better man" but rather because after following the carrer of both fighters, I believe that Cotto has more tools and a more potent arsenal..... Manny has speed and a powerful left hand. But Cotto is no turtle int he ring, he is a proven champion at 147, has great boxing skills, streght and is quiet powerful himself. Why is he a 4-1 underdog.... I can't explain.... just by saying that Manny has truly won the heart and the imagination of his fans.

nobody is ignoring cotto's skills. in fact, most hard core fans give cotto the advantage due to his size.

why don't we put a 10K bet to make this fight more interesting for both of us.agree?

That's what I've been trying to drill into some of these posters' heads. This isn't about odds. Pacquiao on paper is the underdog--I'm not talking about odds--I'm talking about the fighters themselves. JWW wins don't mean jack. This is really, really a close match to call. It's anybodys fight.

And based on what you have written, you're not even a sport fan too, am I right??! Well, the only question here to determine who would most probably win the match is, Will Pac could handle Cotto's shots? If the answer is no, then Pac would be in disadvantage position who would rely most likely on his speed to hang on till the end of the rounds and listen who will win for a decision. But if the answer is yes, then Cotto is finished! he can not match Pac speed, lateral movements and slickness plus his power in his both hands! That's fact!
