and I can't say the same about Pacquiao. I just don't see Pacquiao
enforcing his will on Cotto without Cotto fighting back like
Diaz and De La Hoya. Also Cotto has a better chin and is technically
better than Ricky Hatton. For some reason I have a feeling that
Manny won't be able to hold up against punishment by the bigger
Cotto because Manny hasn't experienced it yet in the ring at the
higher weight classes. Marquez was Pac's last hardest challenge
and Manny squeaked by him twice. Sure Pac got better but how
do we really know if his last opponents didn't put up much of a fight.
    November 14th will tell all.
I agree, if you watch the marquez fights closely he actually controlled pacs speed to a certain degree. More so in the second fight due to the skill level of marquez

This is how I look at it. Floyd showed how limited and ineffective Marquez
could be against a bigger, skillful fighter like Floyd. Marquez was considered
a technical, counter puncher but he just was too small and slow when it
came to going up against someone his superior. I think it will be the same
with Pac/Cotto. Pacquiao is good and is very explosive in the ring but
Cotto is good and explosive in the ring as well. Size will be the deciding
factor in this fight. I can't see Manny going through this fight without
getting hit flush by Cotto and I'm curious to see how Manny takes it.
IF Cotto loses, then, I don't know what to say because he shouldn't
BUT will see come November 14th.

Wrong gameplan for mosley, he stood in front of cotto. If mosley applied the same gameplan he used against margarito, cotto will have the same fate. Unfortunately, it didn't and they fought in NY, another factor.

One thing setting apart Margarito and Pacquiao: snap. Margarito is the kind of puncher who will wear you down and take you later, Pacquiao is the kind of puncher who will land a single hook and it's lights out for his opponents.
Now look at Clottey' KO % and then go watch the fight and you will see Cotto hurt at some points. This is all you need to know to make a prediction. Unless Cotto can revert back to the version who barely lost to Mosley (he did lose but nevertheless that was his best fight) he's toast. And the fight could be held in PR it's still not going to make a difference, Pacquiao is really on fire.

I lol everytime I read this Cotto underdog stuff. How is the man that is gonna weigh 15lbs more on fight night to be considered the underdog? Even with weight aside, Cotto is one tough hombre. He has boxing skill, underrated speed, knows how to control speed, tough chin, incredible heart, and power. How on earth is he the underdog again? Because he didn't look so good against someone in his weight class in his last fight that would have given any fighter a tough fight, and he had to fight most of it with a really nasty cut early on? Because Margarito knocked him out with suspect gloves after 11 brutal rounds? People that simply pick Pacquiao based on last fight performance and not common sense are the kind of people that would buy a shamwow.

Have to disagree because he couldn't even KO David Diaz early
after connecting so much and also with Oscar De La Hoya. Hatton
got exposed but I believe Cotto will be a more competitive than that
considering Cotto has been rocked many times by bigger punchers than
Manny and came from behind. Everyone is talking about how devastating
Manny is but Cotto has the power to KO Manny without question can't
say I believe the same for Manny doing it to Cotto because I haven't
seen it that much with the only exception which is Hatton.

I though Hatton fight suppose to be interesting . I though Hatton wrestling style will give problems to Pacquiao but Hatton got caught early . Pacman got some skills , don't missunderstand me but I think the people believe his unbeatable cause his last couple of fight . He's last 2 fight with a prime boxer was JMM and what happen ? A draw and split decision. I believe Manny is takong Cotto lightly and he will pay for that in Nov 14 .
Both Barrera & Morales were still at their primes when Manny fought them. He's 2 fights with JMM was 4 yrs apart I think, and JMM always visit the canvass. The common denominator was that they haven't fought a guy like Manny.

This underdog thing is just for hyping the fight, and for the gamblers who are just betting. For us hardcore/purist boxing fans Pac should be the underdog not Cotto.

I don't think Manny is thinking the way the odd makers are thinking. Team pacquiao already said in the beginning that this is the toughest fight pacman will ever be, coz Cotto is bigger & stronger. Plus the fact that Pacman is moving-up to WW w/c is not his natural weight.
