    Crawford GOAT Status is FAKE

It’s in the news: Terrence Crawford has retired from boxing.
He proclaimed himself the GOAT after beating only two elite opponents—one who suffered vision problems from a car accident, and another who was clearly past his prime. Honestly, his résumé is too thin to support those claims.

Crawford accused Pacquiao of using PEDs while repeatedly using Pacquiao’s name to gain attention. Pacquiao fans responded by challenging him to win titles across eight divisions if he wants the right to be compared to Manny.

Yet Crawford shows no interest in fighting Benavidez or Bivol. Unlike Pacquiao, who climbed weight classes and conquered bigger, stronger opponents, Crawford avoided that path.

This should have been Crawford’s moment to truly prove he’s a GOAT—but instead, he chose to retire, wtf!

These types of threads are so boring. Can't you attempt to write something insightful rather than provoke an imagined set of rival fans?

Congratulations on a great career, Bud.

Uhmmm, Bud was UNDISPUTED in 3 different divisions. Pac was undisputed in exactly ZERO divisions. Now dont get me wrong, collecting belts in 8 divisions is a nice achievement, but he was never undisputed in ANY division.

And beating Benevidez or Bivol wouldnt do much for Buds legacy anyways. Haters like you would still complain. I can hear it now..... who has Benevidez beat? Who has Bivol beat? etc etc lol.

Do I personally think Bud is the GOAT? No, I dont. But he's definitely in the conversation................

I agree that Bud isn't GOAT status with his current resume, but he had an exciting and fun to watch career. I give him all the respect there and if this is truly his retirement, thanks for the memories. Something tells me it's not though. JP beats AJ this weekend and calls out Crawford and Turki dangles a 150-200mill for Crawford to face a low level boxer like JP and you're telling me he doesn't accept that? lol.

I feel he's just doing a smart "retirement" moment. He's 38. He doesn't want to damage his body now against just anyone for any random millions. He's looking for some crazy F U type money with his 1 more call me out of retirement fight. This will be against someone where the money is impossible to refuse.

So basically this thread is a Manny not gobbler who doesn’t think Crawford is the GOAT because he said Manny used PEDs and because he isn’t going up to 175 to try and win another title.

Yeah that’s a really credible argument.

I don’t know if Crawford is the GOAT. I know his resume of 4 belt undisputed titles in 4 divisions, none at a cw, is just as impressive as Manny’s 8 titles in different divisions, given he won titles at 146 and 151.

I don’t think he is the GOAT either but at least make the determination based on what happened in the ring.

Not based on what he said about your favorite boxer or him not going up to 175 even though he went from 135 to 168.

its hard to give a current boxer really high status it seems, people will always pick holes in who they have fought and probably rightly so in a lot of cases, bud has not fought a killers row of opponents in fact there was talk at one point he would retire before fighting basically anyone, spence was a good win but spence looked like a zombie to me & canelo is a very good win but canelo is not the best anymore himself so thats how it goes

bud would have had to have fought people at 154 like boots and ortiz and the rest of them, 3 fights maybe & that would have erased all doubt i would say, prime guys on a good run, thats what does the job, most people avoid them tho in boxing
