The gret entertainer he was not, but he was a phenomenal competitor and fearsome boxer. Part of me has always been sceptical because of the levels he faced over much of his career, but part of me feels his upper levels were not tapped because every time he faced elite opponents, they were found wanting and his talents were superior. Ultimately he is a hall of famer and all time great, but I think he took his time proving his case. Funnily enough, now was when I think the entire boxing world would be ready to embrace him as The Man and he is retiring -- would have been happy to see him fight again, but also glad for him that he chooses to draw the curtain at the top of his game and in good health.

who would you say was the most skilled? Sugar Leonard?

Styles and attributes makes fights, Considering Canelo’s stamina fades in the middle of a fight and he doesn't throw combinations outside loading on his punches. Alvarez is a mix of a counter puncher and pressure fighter, he has versatility, but isn't great in either area. Such as ring cutting, or fighting in the backpedal to find the right timing. He just has the right qualities to pull it off, such as reflexes for defense, handspeed with the necessary punching power.

Compared to Madrimov, who can match his pace, angles and reflexes.

Why would he rematch Nelo?

Was not anywhere near close enough to warrant a rematch. Canelo stayed competitive enough and he won a few rounds, but he lost CLEAN!

It was competitive at the start, but Crawford pulled away using his high skill and speed.

The most you can give Canelo, is like, 4 rds. And I feel I’m being generous in saying that.

Only really had one close fight that I can think of. Floyd’s had several close fights.

And you can say that Floyd fought in a tougher era, sure, but Crawford had no control over when he fought.

AND Crawford was not in the drivers seat for his career and he still did what he did.

Didn’t have the name or the popularity, but he had the SKILL and the WILL.
