He fights once a year and just got the biggest check possible vs the biggest name possible and one of the biggest wins ever. I thought the weight division jump would be too much but he went up and took all them belts of Canelo the biggest name of this era. Perfect ending and there are not many of those in Boxing.Comment

Seems very calculated. I had a feeling floyd was going to produce all these retire unbeaten guys.
It's like he was coasting for long periods of career, dithering not listening to criticism, and not doing much as he was the only one who knew he was going to call Nel o out oneday. Like it was the planLast edited by hugh grant; 12-16-2025, 07:52 PM.Comment

TBud retire undefeated due to a softer era and one fight a year program
cant fault him for being the best of a weaker era

Happy to hear it, and I think we all knew before the Canelo fight that this was an "end-game" fight for TC. No other bout is going to pay him as much or be as prestigious, so it's the perfect moment to retire and not be an impediment to progress. Hit the reset button on 168lb and let the current crop of contenders challenge for the belts.

I haven't even contemplated about what Canelo would do next. He seems to get away with just about anything, which creates instability and unpredictability. I'm sure Hearn would be giddy to make that happen for a day 1 guy like Pacheco. The issue is that Canelo said he wasn't coming back until September(?), and Pacheco shouldn't wait so long. Ideally, I would prefer if Pacheco fought Munguia next. If he wins that, then Canelo/Pacheco for the WBO title.Comment
