I was at Téllez’s last fight. Was hoping he’d deliver, of course. Baraou was a little too much for him at this point in his career. I think Yoenis and his team might’ve made the mistake of looking past the more experienced fighter a little bit. But the Cuban is only 25, and is showing the right attitude: use this as a catalyst for growth. He has work to do, and it’s good he understand that now. Easy to fall in love with yourself when you’re getting past everyone you’ve faced easily. Téllez was lucky he saw the final bell; he was in trouble towards the end. That’s a wake-up call.
