Nah it sounds like Oscar is trying to get as much money as possible from Turki if they want him to sacrifice his last remaining talent

Meat & potatoes has strong resemblance to Ortiz's competitive history. I'm sorry to say it, Boot's competition has looked a lot like mini cheesecake cups with a big scoop of Cool Whip topping.

If this does get made, next year might be shaping up for good things. Inoue vs Junto is supposed to be going down as well.

Reading that other article concerning how Main Events through Vargas into a brutal fight with Tito early because they thought he might run out quick due to issues with the law made me think different of how other fighters are handled with their promoters. I never thought much about how their outside life can affect what a promoter thinks and guides their career just because they feel time is not on their side.

That said, this fight doesn't have those factors really. It's more the opposite in that both promoters are just trying to maximize each fighter's purse because the loser will more than likely be yesterday's news and not be able to demand such big purses afterwards.

Sacrifice, eh? Boots might very well win, but surely you know it's much more of a competitive affair than a sacrifice. For all we know, Vergil is making this fight happen even if Oscar wants to shelter his fighter.

I think this will be a great fight. Two studs in their prime. Both undefeated. Can't ask for more. Thank you if the fight gets made because it will be a violent match while it lasts. Both guys are going to want to prove themselves. We the fans win.
