Not if they put on the muscle to get close to 200. If they put on mostlt fat and a bit of muscle then you can lose the fat easily enough. Also not dehydrating before weighin will keep the weight up - but if DB is going to go up and splatter Zurdo to become the new face of Mexican boxing then he probably wants to add the weight as muscle.
I don't much care for the Artur-David fight anyway - Artur's prime is disappearing over the horizon. Bivol's not young either.

What has David even done to deserve a title shot at cruiserweight?....he hasn't done shytt at 175 except get an E-mail title.

Anybody with two eyes can see this for what it is. Turki was gonna put the pressure on David to fight beterbiev so David lined up a fight before that could even happen. David has been terrified of beterbiev for years and he still is. If beterbiev beats bivol in the trilogy he's never coming back down. David has been moving like a ho his entire career. Back when he got gifted the wbc belt at 168 and refused to fight Caleb plant and Callum smith because they didn't have titles. Then he lost the belt for snorting too much cokaine. They give him another belt and he lost it again because he was snorting too many chimichangas. Now the wbc has once again given him another belt at 175 for doing absolutely nothing. It's ****in pathetic. 11 years at 168 and never unified. 28 years old and still hasn't fought one great fighter. Now he's running to cruiserweight to avoid beterbiev and fight bivols leftovers.....David is a straight up clown

So the new narrative is that David Benavidez is moving up in weight because he’s ducking Beterbiev and Bivol? Just making up bullsh-t now I see.

soon the most ducked label will go to Buff Guy Jai from Fat Dave

        I can see it already

        Fat Dave beats Fat Gilbert

then goes back down to 175 for the money fight Top Soviet Bivol

instead of giving Buff Guy Jai an immediate shot

boxing fans as dumb, fickle, and entitled as they are will whine over a one fight delay = ducking

In the meantime Buff Guy Jai can beat Fat Gilbert better than Fat Dave did to make a statement as he waits for the winner of Top Soviet Bivol-Fat Dave

Now that Zurdo’s mapped out his two-fight retirement plan, he’s finally saying Opetaia’s name instead of hiding behind mandatory obligations

David already looks like a pear with arms and legs at 175. Imagine what he'll look like at 200 lbs.

Is a walking talking duck if I’ve ever seen one, more coming from Oscar, doubt Zurdo gives a hoot who he fights

I'm not that happy with this and Benavidez doesn't deserve a title shot at 200. You can tell boxing is so corrupt because they dismiss their fing rankings just to make money. Benavidez said he didn't want to wait around for Bivol to recover from surgery. So? You can fight Joshua Buatsi, Conor Wallace, or someone else who deserves a Championship fight while you wait. Gilberto is kind of slow, his power has a lot of question marks, and he doesn't move his head that much. Granted, his foot work is decent, high volume puncher, and does a good job at pepping his opponents with jabs. I thought he did okay against Bivol in the first half of the fight, until Bivol started to figure out his timing and space. I think Benavidez will win but I'll go watch more tape on Gilberto because I have only seen a few of his fights.

Zurdo ducks Jai and hopes that the size difference will be enough to beat David.

David is better in every aspect of boxing not one single attribute favors Zurdo.

Jai would stop Zurdo or let's say his corner would stop the fight after the beating he would receive. David should fight at 175 and Zurdo should stop ducking it is becoming pathetic especially with Malik Scott claiming that Zurdo is the best Cruiserweight

Per Fat Dave him and Fat Gilbert had many gym wars when sparring

should be competitive even if Dave does a wide decision
