Comments Thread For: The rest of the pound-for-pound list just got as fascinating as the top three

After their wins on Saturday night, Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez, Devin Haney and David Benavidez all warrant consideration for moving up higher on the pound-for-pound list.

Bam looked like the best boxer in the world.

I am moving him up to 4, behind Crawford, Usyk and Inoue

I think there will be a lot of movement on the P4P list over the next year and a half. 2 of top 3 is looking for swan-song into retirements, while Inoue is setting up a top match against Nakatani, that will likely put him number 1 if he wins.

Bam, arguably is a clear number 4 at this stage. Destroying anyone the way he does is above what Bivol has done in a single division. I would put it like this right now:

        1. Crawford
        2. Usyk
        3. Inoue
        4. Bam
        5. Bivol
        6. Benavidez
        7. Shakur
        8. Beterbiev
        9. Nakatani
        10.

Bam is great. Multi-talented and powerful, but the guy he fought, Puma, or whatever he's called, is as average as a fighter gets. Nash out - His Majesty

            ?

Puma Martinez is a two time world champion and has twice beaten both Jerwin Ancajas and Kazuto Ioka.

To be fair, I think this is probably the most universally agreed upon P4P list I can think of.

99% of people have Crawford, Inoue, & Usyk as their top 3 (with varying order), virtually everybody agrees Bam & Bivol are next up.

Guys like Nakatani, Benavidez, Stevenson, Haney, & Beterbiev are still on 90% of lists that I've seen.

How would your Top 5 look, if Shakur beats Teofimo Lopez @ 140?

The Inoue vs Nakatani winner, sets up superfight with Bam.

P4P guys all in their prime.
those are the top fights to be made in boxing now.

Beating Teo would be a quality win no doubt. Shakur is my boy as you know. Jersey stand up!

But beating Teo, along with his full resume, imo pales in comparison to anyone in my top 5.
