Tsuboi absolutely played with the #3 ranked ring mag, Carlos Cuadras... like he was nothing.
All shut out rounds, then the TKO. Plus the face was clean, and the hair was still perfect.
Even Bam lost a few rounds to Cuadras, eventually going to dec.
Tsuboi's decorated world level amateur predigree, footwork, timing, angles, reminds me of Lomachenko -
Plus, Rodriguez had a 5 day notice and moved up two weight classes. Cuadras was preparing for his bout with Rungvisai, but Thailand's fighter had to withdraw from getting sick with Covid.

This isn't to demerit Tsuboi, who in his third bout he dismantled and overwhelmed a former faded world champion who the last thing to go is punching power. But so far, Tomoya has more to achieve at age 29, while Rodriguez although a unified champion, is improving at every fight accumulating championship level fights.
Think Tsuboi will be ready for David Jimenez soon which is a tough match up as Jimenez has underrated skills coupled with his punching power having upset numerous fighters like John Rodriguez and Ricardo Sandoval, also although Roman Gonzalez is quite faded by now.
