Very sad stuff. Feel for his wife and kids right now but he was a good fighter, remember when he pushed Demetrius Andrade very close for the world title, dropping him in the fight. Solid contender at 154lbs at his best may he RIP

Vanes was always enjoyable to watch. He brought it every time. Boxing needs more competitors like him. I'm sorry to hear he didn't beat the big C. I'm praying your wife, children, family, and friends find strength, peace, meaning, and purpose through Christ during this difficult time. Rest In Paradise, Vanes.

              Way too young,

I seen him fight many times live in Vegas. He was a talented fighter who gave a great effort every time out.

              RIP Champ.
