Valuev for all the flak he takes for his poor boxing skills does seem to possess a rock solid chin. For a cruiserweight to come in and knock him out would be quite shocking.
Will David Haye become the first to KO Valuev?

Well, I saw the fight with Evander and I, along with many others, thought Holyfield won that fight. So, I have to give Haye a solid chance to win.Comment

You have to consider that Valuev looked like he really didn't want to be in there with Holyfield for whatever reason, admiration/respect/not wanting to be part of a farce. I don't think that's gonna be the case for the fight with Haye.Comment

Why did he take the fight then? i cant belive evander could of been his mandatory?Comment

I agree. He didn't want to fight Holyfield, he balked at first, but Sauerland really wanted to make the fight.
But he'll be focused and motivated for David Haye.Comment

I won't even believe this fight will happen until both Haye and Valuev are standing in that ring, and the bell has sounded. Haye pissed me off majorly with his stunt against Wlad, so he'd better not do it again.Comment

Nor me. But one would think the fight should go ahead this time, due to several things that are different to both Klitschko situations earlier in the year...
Firstly, the most important of which is a concrete broadcasting deal in the UK - Sky Box Office are in no danger of disappearing like Setanta was/did, and are promoting the fight with (what seems like) more vigour than the latter did. I think more people in the UK know about this fight than with the Wlad-Haye false start.
Also, there doesn't appear to be any screwin' rematch deals in place which would have Haye fight Valuev again and again under unfair circumstances... but with Don King around, there's always going to be some dodgy **** happening. I wouldn't be surprised if King writes up a crazy stipulation in the contract a week before the fight.
The only way I see this fight not taking place is because of some tiny injury, or either fighter *****ing out - Haye because he's simply scared of actually fighting, or Valuev because he's scared of contracting an imaginary disease somehow.Comment
