Bam Rodríguez has things of Salvador Sánchez

The young champion has the style of Salvador Sánchez, but left handed.

The footwork is identical, speed in foot and hands, combos, amazing angles and great stamina.

People saying he need to go up and fight with Nakatani or Inoue that are two divisions up and got a Lot of time to work in those weights.

    Take it easy.

Stop, Bam is growing up naturally , he has 25 years and his body needs to grow up, he is growing.

Young Inoue refused a fight againat Román González when both were in the same weights, and Inoue or Nakatani never fight jumping weights againat killers, they choose the calm run.

    For the same reason...

But this guy is a legit top-5.

    His boxing is ART.

Before the left hand agains Martinez he blocked and was bending a combo of Martinez and inmediately he landed that bomb.

    The movement was artistic.

Right now better resume and rivals than Loma, Davis, Stevenson, etc.

    This is a solid take.

Having seen Sanchez and hen I was young, Bam does remind me of him. But I will still take Sanchez.

Bam is just so f-cking good. IMO Sanchez was just very unique and special. He don’t seem to have any flaws to me.

He could defeat any style. I loved watching him fight.

I think Bam Rodriguez has more in common with Gilberto Roman and Orlando Canizales with Rodriguez being more talented and athletic with the right team, as they dart in and out at mid-close range, using the same angles to set up selected punches.

Whereas Sanchez is a high paced boxer who fights at any range, a fighter whose unpredictable and uses defense with offense at the same time instead of switching between the two, his punches are in-between a hook to the body and head. His defense is more oriented to headmovement and footwork. Whereas Bam utilizes both but he doesn't have the same reflexes, so he applies with a static high guard to reinforce his defense to parry and block.
