The DAZN announcers are horrible, as are the no-name judges. That was a 117- 111 fight, as one judge had it, yet they made it seem like it was super close, lame.

I see Mason-Scofield in the near future.

I hope this fight cements in Mason the importance of body shots and that he uses them a lot going forward. He hurt Noakes downstairs which changed the momentum of the fight, and also took several good body shots himself which affected him.

The first fighter that fought Mason back! Noaks is a basic, but tough fighter and hit Mason all night long. Mason needs to improve a lot before fighting a fighter with true talent. He's good, but wont be undefeated long if he doesn't work on his defense.

Excellent efforts by both fighters. I hate that one had to lose their O.

Really good fight - great energy

I mentioned it right after the fight and I want to point out again given how a later fight on the card played out.

Hats off the referee who helped facilitate the ebb-and-flow action - always in good position to just use a verbal command at the right time, or a light tap, unhooked arms - and the fighters adhered to him even in the heat of a pitched battle - which again, hats off to both of them.

Compare it to the referee in a later fight who gave no verbal instruction at all, despite 50x the amount of holding.

I have huge respect for Mason fighting like this in a neutral territory. I want to put it right there with a Crawford-Burns or Spence-Brook type of showing.

Both guys really elevated the sport in one night giving every ounce of what they had in them. Both made names for themselves bringing everything they had in their toobox out in the fight. I could see other lightweights folding under the assault they brought against each other.

Noakes made him earn it. Sam took the reach away but paid when he stagnated. He held his own in close.
