No Rematch For Pacquiao-Cotto Fight

according to arum there wouldn't be a rematch. plus cotto extended his deal to top rank til 2011 and pacquiao extended his to 2012.

If Cotto wins, no need for a rematch but if Cotto loses, I've always thought Champions with prestige deserve rematches. In this case, if it is a close fight, no matter who the winner is a rematch would be good.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cotto call for a rematch if he gets beat. Seems like it'd only be fair. Guess Arum thought otherwise.

and why not? he gave a rematch to corley mosley and clottey after close fights....

No need for a rematch, even if it's close. There's plenty of fights that need to be made immediately afterwards, so time mustn't be wasted.
