Haney was in talks to fight Bootsy at 147

But Hearn and Bootsy wanted a CW.....weak
There was a time soon after he beat Jose Ramirez when Devin Haney thought he would fight Jaron Ennis next. The former undisputed lightweight champion assumed when he agreed to face Ennis that their fight would be contested at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds.

“We were talking about doing the Boots fight at 147,” Haney told The Ring. “I agreed to do it and then they came back with a catch weight of 152, when he was a champion at 147"

    LMAO

wtf ive heard of people demanding catch weights alrite but a guy at a certain weight demanding a catch weight off that weight for a fight with a guy who wants to fight at your weight lol, i think thats a new one

so haney probably demanded a 144 catch weight in his ramirez fight? which was a bit odd anyway or how did that one come about & then next fight, weak sauce considering this guy was 160 in the ring from 135, just forget about catch weights devin lol, then boots fails turki offer for ortiz at 154 & is demanding a 152 catch weight for haney lol what the hell are these guys anyway, bunch of little divas

looks like he was transitioning from 140 to 147 but maybe decided ah im not there yet even tho hes massive & probably weighs more than a lot of WW's in the ring when he was at 135

i dont think ggg was too bad, he just stuck to his weight of 160 if there were more guys there to fight he would have done it i think & he fought the 2 best guys available later on in jacobs and canelo, not too bad
