I hope you're right! With Garcia fighting Barrios we may very well end up with Haney and Garcia fighting each other for all the marbles at 147. Damn, boxing has really sunk. Crossing fingers that Norman is able to rise to the occasion, but as other have pointed out he hasn't exhibited a lot of prowess when fighting less-skilled slick-type boxers. It will ultimately depend, I think, on the psychology of both fighters, and Norman may well end up getting a stoppage if he is able to resurrect the Garcia demons for Haney.

I am not sure that the comparison works. Garcia's left may well be the quickest and hardest in the sport. Norman's hands are fast, but I believe Garcia's are faster. All the fighters that have presented problems for Haney are fighters with very quick hands: Linares, Lomachenko, and Garcia.
It will all depend on if Haney can see Norman's hands. Haney's defense is mostly based on perception and reflexes. He doesn't really move his head and doesn't use his hands to protect himself as much as he should. If I were a trainer, I would use tapes of Haney as a case of the wrong model of defense. He is no Mayweather in there, but he thinks he is.Comment
