Allow me to add some context.

Lionell Thompson aka Lonnie B is a know Benavidez hater and a even more known Beterbiev fanboy.

He basically said numerous times that Bivol had absolutely no chance and Beterbiev will just crush him without problem and he was offended by people in his gym picking Bivol to win, he got upset and emotional about it.

Lonnie B was a sparring partner and was according to himself destroyed by Beterbiev so i guess he fell in love with him on that day or he talks Beterbiev up so he feels better with the fact that he got crushed by him.

On the other hand he always hates on Benavidez i saw multiple interviews in which he talks Benavidez down leading up to fights and he said Benavidez didn't have a KO since when?
His last KO was 3 fights ago against Andrade a guy i'm pretty sure Lonnie B picked to give Benavidez some serious trouble.

Since then he had two dominant wins against top level opposition.

There is no way to deny the fact that Benavidez is a great fighter and to say Yarde vs Benavidez is a toss up is just ridiculous. No way this is a 50/50 it's more like a 80/20.

One more thing to add Benavidez beat up one of Lonnie B good friends at the Mayweather Gym.

Benavidez was 15 years old at that time and was making this guy who was a professional boxer and grown men look like a victim.
He also destroyed Jleon love inside 2 rounds who was also a training partner of Lonnie B.

I think it does not sit well with him that he and his buddies got handed a whooping by a obese out of shape kid who walked into there gym to get some work.
