Only the "savior" of boxing, Alaknish, can make this fight happen. Forget Ennis-Ortiz, fight in the United States.

Boxing HAS become pretty stagnant in the U.S. Ever since foreigners became the money players in the sport.

Bob Arum doesn’t have a network for his fighters. Al Haymon does, but PBC doesn’t know how to promote or how to consistently put on good cards on a regular basis that people can get accustomed to.

In fact, now that I think of it, you could say that boxing in America started to go downhill ever since Haymon and Richard Schaefer ripped off the Golden Boy roster and moved those fighters from HBO over to Showtime and a bunch of other networks. Saturday night boxing has never been the same since.

Shoulder Roll, TR may not have a network, but last night's event was on Tubi (free streaming). One of Boxing's long-standing issues is the fact that almost all major promoters are behind one or two paywalls. Almost every PBC show is a PPV. DAZN is doubling down on the PPV model with their new "Ultimate" price tier.

Just can't see Ortiz and Ennis fighting each other next. Noise from both camps doesn't suggest it will.

"Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn is a maker of deals – his ego won’t necessarily get in the way of agreeing to what his fighters want. Golden Boy’s Oscar De La Hoya has a fighter’s ego – he will draw lines in the sand and fight and potentially prevent a deal being made. There nonetheless remains hope, because even then Turki Alalshikh is capable of paying enough to fund this fight if that’s what he wants to do."

I guess we have to put our faith in Turki Alalshikh? I know Roy Jones Jr. is going to see Errol Spence Jr., and he thinks Errol wants to comeback! Would Vergil actually choose Spence Jr. over Boots? Yeah, I could see it! $$$

Maybe if Oscar wasn't coked up and cross-dressing, Schaefer would have never left?

The average fan doesn’t know where to find the fights anymore, or can’t easily get to them without paying. That’s a problem.

Coked up and cross dressing Oscar still did a better job of promoting and matchmaking than Al Haymon and PBC have ever done.

GBP has been a shell of it's former self, ever since Schaefer left! That's why Canelo left too! Munguia and Ryan Garcia were frauds! Zepeda got schooled by Shakur! Vergil is their last hope, which is why they going for the Spence bag, before Boots finishes them!
