Tell them to sort it out in one week or else they drop out of the top 15

It will be interesting to see how the pressure of the nearing deadline affects both Callum Smith and David Morrell Jnr. Fights like this really highlight how strategy and composure matter just as much as power. I’ve noticed similar strategic elements in other competitive formats too—this breakdown reminds me of the mindset needed in games explained here: How to play 3 Patti Super

Smith should be stripped. There was no need for the 'interim' in the first place and he was obviously hoping to get an eventual email belt. It's not often I praise the sanctioning bodies but ordering the Morrell fight was a good decision by the WBO.

I wonder if Bivol will use his January return as an opportunity to take care of his IBF mandatory.

The 175 division is a pretty strong division but the rankings of these sanctioning bodies are all over the place.

The IBF has 7 low level fighters listed in their top 10 including the Eifert the guy who sits at Nr.1 and is mandatory for Bivol. This guy does not have one noticable win in his 13-1 career.

The WBA has solid Nr1.,2 & 3 in Beterbiev Morrel and Yarde but the rest is just questionable. Arlen Lopez Nr4? this guy has a 6-0 record and all fights against low opposition. one place behind him Ataev who as 8 fights and his last at cruiser and also fought no one yet. The rest of the top 10 looks very similiar a bunch of guys with low amount of fights and none of them ever fought a legit top 15 guy probably not even top50.

WBO ratings are a joke the only guys deserving a top 10 spot are Beterbiev, Gvodzyk and Morrel.

The WBC has a quite solid ranking.

Long story short these sanctioning bodies need to get their sh.t together and come up with solid rankings we can't waste time due to undeserving madatory shots like this Eifert guy.

If Turki is smart and wants to keep Beterbiev active he should give Beterbiev this Eifert guy as stay busy fight. Beterbiev will finish this guy early and can be ready for a big fight early next year either against Benavidez or Bivol if he is ready.
